Holistic Pediatric Massage for Anxiety, Depression, & Trauma
Pediatric Massage is for children ages 5-17. If your child is experiencing a sudden change in routine due to a death in the family, moving to a new home, divorce, or stress at school, massage may help reduce their symptoms of anxiety. A parent or caregiver is required to be in the room with the child during the session. I have experience working with children with autism, ADHD, anxiety/depression, stress, sensory processing disorders, & sports related muscle soreness. Children must be able to verbally consent to receive massage. *Includes oncology massage
The Signature Cocoon Body Mask is an artistic and spiritual approach to self-love and personal growth. A moth's cocoon is a metaphor for safety, healing, and great change. Natural earth clay for body masking is an ancient practice and is used to purify, tone, and condition the skin as well as assist with fluid retention, skin circulation, lymphatic stimulation, and muscle tension.
Each session will begin with gentle exfoliation using a dry brush which is yours to take home at the end of the session. Next, the application of the clay and wrapping of the cocoon; during this time, I will focus on head and scalp massage. Once the body mask has had time to absorb into the skin, the wrap is removed with warm towels. A hydrating finisher will be applied to the entire body. As an alternative, the hydrating finisher can also be used as the wrap itself if the skin is very dry. A CBD wrap is also an option at no extra charge. A 90 min session will include the wrap only, and the 120 min session will include the wrap & 30 min of massage therapy. Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic treatment that originated in ancient India. It comes from the two Sanskrit words “shiro” (head) and “dhara” (flow). Warm herbal infused oil flows from the bottom of a copper pot onto your forehead or "third eye" to induce relaxation and meditation. The oil is prepared by Ayurvedic practitioners and only utilizes herbs native to India. This treatment is for a 90 min massage using heated herbal oil followed by a 30 min Shirodhara session. Please note: the add-ons are not available with this treatment in an effort to keep the session purely Ayurvedic.
Cold stones made of smooth marble are an excellent way to relieve the immediate symptoms of headaches and migraines. The stones are placed over the three major nerves of the face with gentle massage of the facial area and scalp. Approximate time to complete service: 15 min (can be longer upon request).
